Unstoppable

I happily lusted after Chris Pine as the youthful James T Kirk in last year's Star Trek re-boot, and now I get the chance to lust again in a film that looks like sheer bloody genius:

Unstoppable opens in the UK in a couple of weeks' time. Sod this Harry Pottery nonsense, I know which film I'm now most looking forward to.

Oh, and Chris Pine? Nice pits!

I wondered what it would take to get you, of impeccable taste, to like a film that is so clearly utter crap. Chris Pine? No. Trains? Still no. But what if they put Chris Pine ON a train????

Bingo.

Sweet of you to assign such high-brow motivations to me, but I have to say I'd see pretty much any film that featured either trains or Chris Pine's armpits. Although the fact that they're both in the same movie does, indeed, lift it to a higher plane of anticipation.

In fact, I even went to see the recent remake of The Taking of Pelham 123 -- who could resist a film set largely on a Subway train?

Of course, that also featured Denzel Washington. Do you think he shares my love of trains? Could this be the start of a beautiful relationship...? Is he, in fact, my Lifelong Soul-Mate?

This just in from the US opening:

"With some of director Tony Scott's best reviews in years, "Unstoppable" dominated the box office on Friday..."

I know how to spot a good 'un.
