Well, ok, that may not be strictly true, but I can assure you that such images really are as rare as hen's teeth. And, speaking as an habitual wearer of dressing gowns, I can only deplore this narrow-mindedness. Maybe this is the vast untapped and potentially highly lucrative niche market I've been looking for into which to launch my own porno website. Hm...

Is a "dressing gown" a British term? Something one wears while dressing? Or in between being undressed and dressed?
I think we call it a "robe" and disrobing must simulate undressing! No?

"Bath robe" is far too limiting a term.
Dressing gowns can be worn in almost every social circumstance, enabling the wearer to look both relaxed and yet elegant.
As my friends will doubtless testify.
